I recently bought a Taschen book on Polaroids. It was a great reminder about the greatness that an imperfect polaroid can be.
For the longest time I have read how creative and important it is to carry a camera 24/7. I’ve thought about it many times but always fall back to the lazy 2017 version of that and pull out my iPhone.
I effed up. I forgot to check a setting on my Mamiya and after waiting 10 days for processing I found out that every frame was crap.
It’s been about a year in the works but I finally pulled off a shoot in the rain. I came across a great shot taken in the rain that motivated me to make my own photos. The results I made a few weeks ago were worth the wait.
Every once in a while I submit photos to fashion blogs or magazines and every once in a while they take me up on my offer and post the images.
I love shooting film. More specifically I love the quality, tones and softness of the medium format images from my Mamiya RZ67. That love has driven me to shoot more and more film on various different cameras. Shooting film is exciting and novel but more important it’s expensive.
